Hot German Potato Salad
Hot German Potato Salad is filled with savory bacon flavor and a sweet vinegar dressing. I think it is a great side dish for Ham, Pork Chops, Pork Roast, or Ribs.

Aluminum Foil
- 1 cup diced bacon 1 pound
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 3 tsp salt
- 3 tbsn flour
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup vinegar or less to taste
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 1/3 cup water
- 8 cups cooked, sliced potatoes
Fry bacon, keep 1/4 cup bacon grease. Drain the rest.
Add celery, onions, salt, pepper, and flour to your bacon. Cook gently, 1 minute.
Add sugar, vinegar, and water. Bring to boil. Turn off heat.
Add cooked potatoes to the mixture. Toss gently to coat.
Transfer to 9x13 baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook for about 45 minutes.
Crock Pot Method - Instead of baking dish, transfer to crock pot. Set to Low for 1-2 hours.
